Privacy Policy
1. Scope
This policy applies to the OpenArt mobile application, package com.openartapp, and the official OpenArt landing pages that link to this policy. It describes information processed to provide AI photo and video creation, app functionality, subscriptions, security, support, and legal compliance.
2. Information you provide
Prompts and creative input
When you use AI creation features, you may provide text prompts, instructions, images, or other media. This content must be processed so the requested generation or transformation can be performed.
Support communications
If you contact OpenArt by email, the information in your message, your email address, and any attachments you choose to send are processed in order to respond and provide support.
3. Information processed automatically
OpenArt may process limited technical information necessary to operate and protect the service, such as app version, device or operating-system information, request timestamps, error information, security signals, and similar diagnostic data. The exact information available can depend on Android, Google Play, network infrastructure, and service providers used to deliver the app.
4. Google Play subscriptions and purchases
If you purchase a subscription or other paid access in OpenArt, the transaction is processed by Google Play. Google may provide OpenArt with information needed to verify and manage entitlement, such as purchase status, product or subscription identifier, transaction or purchase token, renewal state, and related billing metadata. OpenArt does not receive your full credit-card or debit-card number from Google Play. Google's own processing is governed by Google's privacy policies and Google Play terms.
5. AI processing and service providers
To provide AI generation, hosting, storage, networking, security, analytics or technical operations, OpenArt may use service providers that process information on OpenArt's behalf or as independent providers under their own terms. Content that you submit for generation may therefore be transmitted to infrastructure or AI-processing providers as necessary to complete your request.
OpenArt requires service providers to receive only information reasonably necessary for the services they perform, subject to applicable contracts, technical controls, and law. You should not upload content that you do not have the right to use or highly sensitive information that is unnecessary for your request.
6. How information is used
- To provide photo and video generation, template recreation, and related AI features.
- To verify subscriptions and provide paid entitlements.
- To operate, maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve app functionality.
- To detect misuse, fraud, abuse, or technical attacks.
- To respond to support and legal requests.
- To comply with applicable law and enforce OpenArt's Terms of Service.
7. Advertising
OpenArt does not currently display third-party advertising in the app. OpenArt therefore does not currently use advertising SDKs for the purpose of serving personalized or contextual ads. If advertising is added later, this policy will be updated to explain the relevant providers and data practices.
8. Sharing of information
OpenArt does not sell your personal information. Information may be disclosed to service providers as described above; to Google in connection with Google Play billing and platform services; when required by law, court order, or valid legal process; to protect users, OpenArt, or others from fraud, abuse, or security threats; or as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or transfer of the app or business, subject to applicable law.
9. Data retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was processed, including providing the requested service, maintaining security and transaction records, resolving disputes, meeting legal obligations, and enforcing agreements. Retention periods may differ by data type and by the service providers involved. Content used for an AI request may be retained temporarily or for a longer period when necessary for processing, safety, troubleshooting, legal compliance, or service operation.
10. Data security
OpenArt uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information. No internet transmission, cloud service, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so absolute security cannot be promised.
11. International processing
OpenArt and its service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, appropriate legal mechanisms are used for international transfers of personal data.
12. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of, or a copy of certain personal information, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing where consent is the legal basis. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
To make a privacy request, email aprilsuzannestjohn@gmail.com. OpenArt may need to verify the request before acting on it and may retain information where required or permitted by law.
13. Children
OpenArt is not intended to be used in violation of applicable age requirements. Users must meet the minimum age required to use the app and to enter into the Terms of Service in their jurisdiction, or use the app with the authorization of a parent or legal guardian where permitted by law. OpenArt does not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children in a manner prohibited by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal information contrary to these requirements, contact OpenArt so the matter can be reviewed.
14. Permissions and device access
Some features may require access to device capabilities such as photos, media, or files so that you can select content for generation or save results. Android permission controls determine whether such access is granted. You can change permissions in your device settings, although disabling a permission may prevent related features from working.
15. Third-party links and services
OpenArt may link to external services, including Google Play. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.
16. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when OpenArt's features, providers, legal obligations, or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when a new version is published. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or by another appropriate method.
17. Contact
Privacy questions and requests can be sent to aprilsuzannestjohn@gmail.com.
